A couple of quick notes

There is a bug that has the program showing the “attack” button at places where you don’t have anything to attack (no Crogulo, you can’t take over the tribe by killing the chieftan or trader :D).  I’ve got that fixed for the next version, which should be going out Wednesday night.  Also, the creature will always miss on the last round of combat, since you attack first.  I should be able to clean that up for the next release too.  In the future, I’ve thought about the luck attribute determining who attacks first, you or the creature.

The next update will be a big one.  I’ve added a quest that gets you your first skill upon completion.  That skill will let you craft your first item, and that item will be the first thing that you can use in battle that isn’t stick or rock-based.  I have a little bit more to finish up on it and I should be able to finish testing Tuesday.  So keep your eyes open.

Welcome to Shiny Rock Hunter!

SRH (as it is affectionately known around my computer) is a free browser-based game.  There is nothing to download.  Just create your character and start playing.

The game currently lets you to create a new character and play a few quests.  I’m working on the first skill - fire making, which will lead to the ability for you to make foods and potions to heal yourself and harm your opponents (hopefully, you don’t mix up the bottles).  Also, my graphics guy will be back from vacation in a couple of weeks.  That means that the ugly grey buttons will soon become something much nicer looking.

If you have any ideas for the game, there is a “Suggestions” button in the game that will take you to a screen to submit your ideas.  Or, you can always leave a message here.

I hope you have fun!
